Winter Swimming at Arcadia: Your 2026–27 Pool and Spa Schedule
Here's something a lot of first-time winter visitors don't expect: you can still swim at Arcadia Resort in December. While much of the country bundles up, Santa Clara and St. George stay sunny and mild, and our resort pools and spas keep going through the cooler months. Here's the 2026–27 winter heating schedule so you can plan your trip around the water.
Through Thanksgiving weekend: the whole pool area
Arcadia's entire resort pool area is open and heated daily through Thanksgiving weekend. That means the pools, the lazy river, and the waterslide are all ready to go, perfect for a late-fall getaway or a holiday week with the whole family.
December through mid-February: lazy river weekends
From December 3 to February 11, the lazy river and waterslide are open and heated every weekend, Thursday through Saturday. Plan a long weekend, arrive Thursday, and the kids can float and slide while you soak up that Southern Utah winter sunshine.
Holiday break: open and heated every day
Coming for Christmas or New Year's? From December 23 to January 4, the lazy river and waterslide are open and heated daily for the holiday season. It's a fun way to spend winter break together, and a great reason to bring the grandparents, cousins, and friends along.
Spas all winter long
Both resort spas are open and heated all winter. Resort pool access runs daily from 9 AM to 9 PM year-round with your fob. Want your own soak right outside the door? Browse our villas with private hot tubs and villas with private pools.
Pair it with red rock adventures
Winter is prime time for exploring. Snow Canyon State Park is just minutes away for a morning hike, and Zion National Park is about an hour's drive.
