As a web designer, I don’t give standing ovations for local websites very often. But this local hiking resource site deserves the such a gif.

What started out as a fun project for local Tim LeBaron and his crew turned into a vast array of information for each hike all organized into a stellar user experience. It goes beyond length and difficulty level – each trail also tells you things like the best time of year / day to visit, sun exposure, amenities available, even what plants and animals to expect. It doesn’t stop at hikes either. Browse historic sites, lodging, and restaurants and more.
