Why Fall and Winter Are the Best-Kept Secret in St. George
When most of the country is pulling out snow shovels, Southern Utah is just hitting its stride. The summer heat is gone, the crowds have thinned out, and the red rock glows in that low winter sun. If you've only visited Arcadia Resort in the summer, you've been missing out on one of our favorite times of year.
Hike Snow Canyon without the heat
Arcadia sits just minutes from Snow Canyon State Park, and cooler months are the best time to explore it. You can scramble over the petrified sand dunes, wander the lava tubes, or take an easy walk through the red and white sandstone without worrying about the midday sun. Pack a light jacket for the morning and you'll likely shed it by lunch.
Swim all season long
Yes, really. The entire resort pool area is open and heated daily through Thanksgiving weekend. From Dec. 3 to Feb. 11, the lazy river and waterslide are open and heated every weekend (Thursday through Saturday), and daily for the holiday season from Dec. 23 to Jan. 4. Soak up the sunshine poolside while friends back home are scraping ice off their windshields.
Room for the whole crew
Holidays are for getting everyone together, and a hotel room doesn't cut it. Our villas give families and groups space to spread out, with full kitchens for holiday meals, room to gather, and a place for everyone to land at the end of the day. Thanksgiving dinner, a New Year's reunion, or just a long weekend with the grandkids all fit right in.
